Jim Brenner, GNP, was a Graduate
Assistant and a counselor for Disabled Services at Tennessee Technological
University from 1991 to 1993 where he received a Master’s Degree in
Psychology and Counseling. His education also includes a Bachelor of Arts
Degree in Psychology from the University of Findlay, Ohio, and a MSN from
Vanderbilt University in 1996. Before training to become a Nurse Practitioner,
Jim served as a Captain in the U.S. Army.
Before joining CMC in 1997, Jim served
as a coordinator at Cookeville’s Plateau Mental Health Center assisting in
patient counseling, assessment, referral and placement. Jim also has extensive
experience in training U.S. and foreign military forces (1969-1976). He was
the residential Administrator at the Hancock County Board of Mental Health in
Findlay, Ohio, from 1976 to 1979 and he was a Battalion Training Officer from
1979 to 1983. He was also President of Cumberland Directories and Advertising
in Cookeville from 1983 to 1989.
Jim is accepting new patients providing
geriatric and primary care services and assisting in emergency procedures. To

Jim and his wife, Linda, have five
children and seven grandchildren.
