Scott is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Psychological Examiner.  He has provided counseling and testing services in the Cookeville area since 1989.  Cognitive therapy is used as the primary mode of treatment.   Scott’s areas of expertise include treatment of ADHD, Conduct Disorder, and Oppositional Defiant Disorder in children and youth.  His experience and training also includes therapy of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, depression, anxiety, panic attacks, and adjustment problems in adults.  Biofeedback treatment of anxiety disorders is also available.  Treatment issues can be addressed in individual sessions or in family counseling sessions. 

Psychological and psychosexual examinations are available.

Scott earned the Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology in May of 1989.    Scott graduated with honors and was inducted into the Gamma Beta Phi honor society, where he earned the Gamma Beta Phi Award for Outstanding Achievement.

A lifelong resident of the Upper-Cumberland area, Scott is active in numerous service, religious, and athletic organizations. He resides with his family on Center Hill Lake .
